Designed by Foster & Partners and awarded the RIBA Stirling prize, this iconic 40 storey 180m London skyline building was designed to provide 500,000sqft of column free Grade A Office space, private dining rooms, restaurant and a rooftop bar with unparalleled views of London.

The façade comprised over 24,000 sq mtrs of glass comprising openable glass screens, perforated aluminium louvres, aluminium column casings and façade frame of extruded aluminium. The frame weighed over 10,000 tonnes and incorporated a unique low-level diagrid entrance structure comprising 30% of the load, sat on 750 dia piled foundations on a severely restricted 50m diameter site which produced logistical challenges.
