The project comprised new build construction of a 275,000 sq. ft. cross-docked distribution warehouse including 5% office content over two floors.

The works were constructed from a heavily sloping greenfield site which involved a considerable cut and fill operation, followed by lime stabilization and vibro compaction. A mine shaft also had to be capped.

The specification was traditional for this type of building with a four bay portal structural steel frame, reinforced concrete power floated floor, coated metal wall and roof cladding and dock levellers.

The construction works were completed within the original programme of eight months. Project Management Services were provided.
