Shortly after BanyanTree announced the launch of its new brand, Cassia in 2014, Commercial Management services were provided for a potential new scheme in Huashan, P.R.China. Targeting 1 and 2 bed units with flexible living and dining options, Cassia was created to bring together investment opportunities for middle class looking for holiday homes as well as the opportunity to develop an innovative hotel product in the serviced apartment segment. Targeting a niche sector between hotel and apartment, this project was for design and construction of 150 keys in serviced apartment villa format, comprising phase 2 of the development of 30,000m2 of new large serviced apartments situated amongst rolling hills and mountainous terrain in Huashan, P.R.China. Uniquely for China, these units were to be fully fitted out prior to sale.
