Acting as the lead developer on this 240 hectare beach-side site, north of Lisbon, Portugal’s capital, we prepared the entire masterplan for the site following purchase from the previous Belgian owners.

The site was planned for a total of over 1,200 residential units, with a mix of villas, town-houses and Apartments, a championship 18 hole golf course, club house and retail units, a beach club and a 5* resort hotel for which we agreed with the Marriott Group to provide a 180 bed luxury hotel overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Over a period of 12 years development, several amendments were made to the master plan to take into account the prevailing market conditions. Funding for much of the development was obtained from a consortium of Portuguese banks alongside the Royal Bank of Scotland. This project is now rated as one of the top 50 Golf resorts in the World.
