Nestled on the Western shore of Yangcheng Lake Peninsula in the historic town of Suzhou a short drive from Shanghai is Value Retails flagship resort in Asia. Designed based on Italian and artisanal Chinese influences, Suzhou Village caters to luxury fashion and lifestyle brands. Comprising over 100 retail units and 500,000sqft of retail, restaurants, cafes, bars and a two storey basement car park of around 500,000sqft, works involved creating a man-made island and water feature, a canal that runs around two thirds of the development, and extensive hard and soft landscaping accompanied by significant street furniture. The complexity of the design of the multiple independently unique facades and their interfaces proved challenging for the local contractors and this project achieved many first of its kind milestones in China. Project and Commercial Management services were provided from inception to completion.
